Julia's Story

I am Julia Engstrom and I am a Transitions Lifestyle Systems™ Certified Coach.  I discovered Transitions several years ago when it first came out.  I had struggled with my weight my entire life and tried almost every diet out there.  I was your typical Yo Yo dieter, losing 10 lbs only to gain it back and then some.  Transitions was presented to me a lifestyle change as opposed to a diet.  My Transitions coach lived quite a distance from me, so I went through the program over the phone with her.  For 12 weeks, every Thursday night, I called in for my weight management class.  It was different from any weight lost program I have ever tried, and it was great.  I did everything my coach told me to do and guess what?  It worked!  I lost 20 lbs and have managed to keep it off since.  I lost inches and I gained a lot of self esteem and knowledge about healthy eating habits.  In addition, I gained a lot of useful techniques for stress management and exercise.  The low glycemic science really works.  Transitions Lifestyle System™ offers a program that includes journaling and stress management techniques in addition to exercise and diet coaching.  I am excited to share this program with everyone and pleased to be at the Art of Wellness where we can offer a range of complementary therapies like Yoga and Acupuncture to aid you in your weight management goals.
