My experience with Transitions

My name is Christine and I just completed the Transitions Lifestyle System™ 12 week program with Julia. I am very happy that Julia asked me to write on her blog about my experience.  I lost 20 lbs and 13 total inches.  I still have a lot of weight to lose, but Transitions and Julia have changed my life.  I suffer from Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia and I have a family history of heart disease and diabetes, so my health is a big concern for me.  The brochure I found for the program said that low-glycemic eating would help with my fatigue which was a big motivation for me.  It's hard to pay attention to what you are eating and to get out and exercise when you are exhausted all of the time and your body constantly aches.  The Transitions diet made a dramatic improvement in my energy levels and my pain levels almost immediately and the effect has been lasting.  It has also been fun for me to look up recipes for my favorite foods and find recipes for them that fit into the low glycemic diet.  I make Pad Thai with spaghetti squash and pizza with an almond flour crust (my roommates love both!).  I also do some kind of exercise almost every day.

The weight loss is important to me, of course, but the other benefits of this program should not be overlooked: more energy when I play with my 7 year old nephew, a better self esteem knowing that I am doing something great for myself, and of course, a greatly reduced risk of heart disease and diabetes.  I am going to keep going to group sessions of Transitions, and I hope to see you there.
